FIRST CONTACT
01. Tell Us About Your Garden
Get in touch with Edinburgh Gardening Services and tell us a little about your garden, what you’d like to achieve and how we can help.
To give us an initial understanding of the garden and the work involved, we’ll ask you to send us photographs and, where possible, short videos of your garden by email.
This allows us to assess the garden remotely and prepare an initial estimate before arranging a visit.

02. Your Initial Estimate
Once we’ve reviewed the photographs and videos you’ve provided, we’ll prepare an initial estimate based on the work we believe will be required.
This gives you a clear indication of the likely investment before committing to a visit.

ON-SITE CONSULTATION
03. Let’s Meet
Once you’ve accepted the initial estimate, we’ll arrange a face to face meeting at your property. This is an important part of our service.
We’ll walk round the garden with you, listen to what you want to achieve, discuss your priorities and identify anything that may not have been obvious from the photographs and videos.
It’s also an opportunity for you to meet us, ask questions and make sure you feel comfortable with the plan before the work begins.
For regular maintenance clients, we’ll also discuss your garden’s requirements throughout the seasons and what level of ongoing care would work best for you.
AGREED SCOPE
04. Your Detailed Garden Plan
Following our face to face meeting, we’ll finalise the scope of work and garden plan based on what we’ve discussed with you.
For a one off job, this means confirming exactly what work will be carried out.
For regular maintenance, we can develop a plan for the season ahead, taking into account the condition of your garden, your priorities and the level of maintenance you require.
Everything is agreed with you before our team arrives to carry out the work.
ON-SITE EXECUTION
05. Our Team Gets to Work
Once everything has been agreed, our team will visit your property, usually within the following few days, and carry out the work according to the agreed plan.
Our experienced team works efficiently while maintaining the high standards we expect from every EGS garden.

06. The Final Walkround
When the work is complete, we’ll carry out a final walk round with you wherever possible.
Together, we’ll review the work and make sure everything has been completed as agreed and to your satisfaction.
If you’re unable to be at home, there’s no problem. We can arrange a video call or provide a detailed update, allowing you to see the completed work and discuss it with our team.
We want you to be completely happy before we consider the job finished.
ONGOING CARE
07. Completion & Maintenance Plan
Once you’re happy with the completed work, payment is made and we can discuss your garden’s ongoing requirements if you haven’t already chosen a regular maintenance plan.
For many of our clients, the initial garden work is just the beginning.
A regular maintenance plan helps keep your garden looking its best throughout the year, rather than allowing it to become overgrown or requiring another major tidy-up.
We’ll recommend a maintenance schedule based on your garden, your priorities and the level of care you want rather than offering a one size fits all service.
